The National Program for Disease Registry and Health outcomes beginning Since 2014, on the order of Dr. Malekzadeh, Vice-Chancellor of Research and Technology, the main goal is to set up at least 20 disease registry programs in priority subjects of medical and health sciences in the country. The program is responsible for organizing and providing financial and technical support for develop of new registry programs as well as current registry programs in the country.

Therefore, in order to promote the University's position, the Department of Disease Registry was set up on 2019  at the suggestion of the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology of the University and a member of the faculty was appointed as the head of this unit. The purpose of this unit is to assessment the current status of university registry and to develop new registry programs through research centers, Institutes, hospitals and colleges.
